Festive Christmas ride around Cardiff Bay from Grange Pavilion

Starting from - It's Christmas time, so feel free to decorate your bike and/or yourselves with costumes, tinsel, lights or festive decorations, just make sure that you and your bike are safe to ride.

We'll start from the Grange Pavilion, Grange Gardens, Cardiff CF11 7LJ, so meet in the area near the pavilion entrance / bandstand.

We'll leave at 10.30, so please arrive 10 minutes early ready to ride, so we can do bike checks and ride briefing :)

Accessible by bike from the Taff trail, turn down Bargoed St, it's just 100 yds from Taff Embankment. Grangetown station is 500 yds, street parking available. Toilets and cafe in the Pavilion.

We'll access the Taff Trail from the Grange Pavilion then cycle down the trail to ride around Cardiff Bay via Penarth Marina and the barrage cycle path. It's on then to Mermaid Quay, where we can have a short stop (approx 30 min) for a hot drink, then we'll return via the Taff trail again to the start.
This ride is mainly traffic free, we will be cycling on a mixture of shared cycle paths, and quiet roads. We may need to dismount and walk as we pass though Mermaid Quay. Suitable for all cycles including nextbikes and electric cycles.
We'll have brief stops along the way for optional photos, and toilets are available in Mermaid Quay if needed.
Please wear a cycle helmet, and bring a spare inner tube if you have one. Also some money/card if you want to buy refreshments
