This is a lovely, undulating route, with a few testing hills (total elevation is 3,000+ feet) and some great views. Launde Abbey itself is in beautiful parkland.

An opportunity to explore some picturesque countryside and pretty villages outside our usual 'patch'. The route crosses three counties: Northamptonshire, Rutland and Leicestershire. It's well worth the longer-than-usual drive to the start (but allow plenty of time for this).

We'll mainly cycle on quiet rural lanes, although we start and finish in a small town.

We aim to stop about halfway round at Launde Abbey coffee shop (plenty of room for bikes). There will be short breaks as we go, to catch our breath and taken on water/snacks.

Helmets essential. Please bring clothes appropriate to the weather, lights if possible, water and any snacks you might need.

All are welcome! Please make sure you are confident with the distance and elevation, and have a roadworthy bike. Feel free to contact the ride organiser with any questions. Also be aware that the ride may be cancelled if the weather forecast is poor: check on Let's Ride before you set off.
