The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Leigh Branch to Moss Bridge where we ride through Hawkley Woods. The route then takes us through Hawkley Hall and Goose Green before joining shared cycle paths to Primrose Farm.

The return journey will be via the A49 bypass cycle path back to Robin Park.

Barriers - Carr Lane - XL kissing gate (most bikes fit)

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

Working lights are essential.

A short ride to a local pub.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, cycle paths, tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at Primrose Farm.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
