Easy Breezy Farmhouse Delights

This is a circular route on quiet roads. We will pass through Great Lumley, admire the view across to Lumley Castle, pass Cocken Lodge and head back for a warm welcome at the Farmhouse Kitchen. It may be necessary for us to pre-order our eats as advised the last time we frequented the cafe. We will confirm this with you, nearer the time.

This ride is particularly good for riders who are inexperienced on roads and/ or those just returning back to cycling or just starting to enjoy the benefits of cycling.

Road and hybrid bicycles are best suited for this ride. As always, helmets are strongly recommended and that you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. It is far better to have too many layers than be cold/wet. We also ask you to ensure your bike is in working order before joining us and that you carry spare inner tubes to fit your tyres, together with tyre levers. You never know when a puncture may occur. In order for the ride to leave promptly, please arrive promptly to enable us to carry out bike checks prior to setting off.

In the event there is any change to the ride and/or has to be cancelled, if we deem it unsafe to cycle, we will let you know, via the Let's Ride conversation tab within the ride booking system before 8.30am on the morning of the ride. In the event you need to cancel, please remember to cancel your place to enable others to join us instead. If you need to cancel on the day, please also add a note in the conversation tab, to ensure we pick it up and are not left waiting for you.
