This is a train-assisted ride, exploring some lovely parks in South East London.

From Paddington, we ride through the Royal Parks and make our way through the historic back streets of Westminster to cross the river at Vauxhall Bridge. We ride down to the Oval and then onwards across South London, using quieter roads and traffic-free trails, until we climb up through Dulwich Village to enter Dulwich Park. https://dulwichparkfriends.org.uk/the-park/map-of-the-park/

We ride around this spacious park, and then turn back northwards to Peckham Rye Park https://www.peckhamryepark.org/#welcome-to-peckham-rye-park. Here we will hope to see the spectacular wisteria of the Sexby Garden in full bloom https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2021/mar/14/designed-with-dreaming-in-mind-sexby-garden-south-london, as well having our refreshment stop at the Round Café https://www.colicci.co.uk/peckham-rye-park .

Our return journey takes us through quiet roads of East Dulwich into the centre of Peckham, where we follow the Surrey Canal Path up to Burgess Park. We skirt around Elephant & Castle, then cross back over the river at Blackfriars Bridge and ride up to Farringdon for train services home.
