A classic mountain bike route taking in Dobcross, Diggle, Dovestones and Uppermill. We do go up quite high so expect any weather 530m of climbing, 13 miles. Some great little descents as well.

This is a classic MTB ride that has been around for years. I first rode it about 10 years ago. It starts from Dobcross and we do go past Diggle, hence the name. I would describe it as a blue grade technical wise for MTB. But it is hilly. So although it's suitable for a regular cyclist to have a go it's certainly not suitable for a beginner cyclist.

Quite a lot, 60 % traffic free. But it is a mountain bike route so some rough unsurfaced tracks. On road for some of it but predominantly quiet country lanes.

There are some scenic views for photos. We do also go round Dovestones reservoir. No food stops planned en-route as it isn't a long ride. But very close to where we park is the Limekiln cafe on the canal. So I suggest if we want we can go there at the end of the ride. It will also be open at 9am if you are early.

As usual no helmet, no ride. Mountain bikes only. Inner tubes that fit your bike. I am not a mechanic so please make sure your bike us in good working order.
