Daventry - Lanes and Canal from Daventry Country Park - 12 miler

This is an official 'SkyRide' guided bike ride open to the public (I am the ride leader) rated as 'Steady'. We will be going at a comfortable pace, with some modest hills along the way, on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour (i.e not a fast one !). Starting and finishing at Daventy Country Park. Northern Way, NN11 2JB. This route is roughly half off-road on a mixture of cycle paths, disused railway line and canal towpath and shows how easy it is to move around Daventry on a bicycle. The other half of the ride is on-road, mainly small lanes to the north of Daventry through scenic farmland. Although suitable for all bike types, if road bikes are being used it is advised they will need sturdy wheels and tyres as some of the paths are dirt and some gravel.
