Starting point

Renfrewshire
G3 8RS

This ride will take us out of Glasgow on the South side, to cycle through the system of reservoirs of the Dams to Darnley Country Park.

The route also includes a small loop around Balgray Reservoir (beautiful roads and view) before the Dams: this is optional and can be cut out, depending on the group on the evening.

You will need a bike in full working order, preferably with gears. Due to riding on open roads and some descents, a helmet is recommended. Bring plenty to drink and some snacks for the break at the Dams. You must have front and rear fully-charged working lights.

We'll ride mostly on roads, and we'll use cycle lanes when available. There's part of the route on shared walk/cycle paths, once in the Dams Country Park. The ride is gently uphill on the way out, and opposite on return.

We'll stop at the Dams for a quick break, next to one of the reservoirs. The interconnecting reservoirs are spectacular, especially on a dry day or evening. There are no facilities.

We never leave anyone behind
