Anyone who puts a giant cat on top of a shopping centre needs his head examined. So that is exactly what we'll be doing on this ride. Some of us didn't even know there was a Catford Cat, but there certainly is one - it's larger than life and caused a furore when developers threatened to get rid of it. We start this ride by cycling through the Burgess Park Nature Reserve and along Quietway 1, the Connect 2 Bridge and the Millwall Path and Cutty Sark Gardens. We then follow the Waterlink Way cycle path to Catford, where we will seek out the Catford Cat. We then return to Le Delice, the favourite haunt of cyclists in our neighbouring borough Lewisham. We stop there for a refreshment break, before cycling back to Burgess Park through Brockley and past Peckham Rye Common.
