Starting point

Renfrewshire
G3 8RS

We'll ride out East on the cycle path along river Clyde, then cross the river into the Cuningar Loop. From there, we'll continue on roads through Rutherglen until we reach Toryglen Park. We'll continue West until intersecting the South City Way, leading back to the Clyde and to the Riverside Museum.

As we'll be riding into the evening, it is essential to have working, fully charged front and rear bike lights.

This is an easy-paced ride, ideal for those who want to enjoy the security of led, group cycling, or simply get out and meet people cycling.

Two pump tracks in one ride! This route visits two Glasgow parks that have a bike circuit of rollers and banked turns, for those who want to try them for a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, just enjoy the parks and the ride! The Cuningar Loop also features a mountain bike track, a viewing tower and several other outdoor activities.

We'll ride mostly on cycle paths and minor roads. There are also some short sections on open road. The route is mostly flat.

As this is a short ride, there will be no cafe stops, however we'll take short breaks in each of the parks.

You will need a bike in full working order. The city bike hire is also suitable. A helmet is recommended. Bring something to drink and some snacks for the breaks.

We especially welcome newbies!
