Countryside ride to Compton

A countryside route using cycle paths and country lanes. Starting in Havant and heading towards Denvilles and Westbourne Village. There is a steady climb along Foxbury Lane. We will pass through Walderton and West Marden, cycling parallel with the River Ems. There will be a break for coffee in Compton which is about halfway through the ride. Compton has a lovely Village store and tea rooms which is very popular with cyclists and walkers. Outdoor seating for the better weather overlooks the village well and Coach and Horses Pub. We will then return to Havant via Finchdean and Idsworth. There is a challenging hill as we head towards Finchdean. Although steep it is short and we will stop at the top for a breather. It's not a problem to walk up any of the hills.
Havant Leisure Centre has a Pay and Display car park and access to toilets.
Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Check your brakes are working correctly and tyres fully inflated!
