The route will take us from Birtley towards the Tyne Pedestrian tunnel and through South Shields to the coast at Sandhaven. We'll the cycle all the way along the coast to Roker, mainly on the new cycle path, before heading back to Birtley on the C2C cycle path.

A ride to the seaside at Sandhaven to meet the Conversation Piece people and then cycle along the coast to the C2C sculpture at Roker. Then back along the C2C cycle path.

Mainly on cycle paths but with short stretches on roads.

We will plan at least one stop for drinks and snacks, either on arrival at the coast or at Roker Harbour.

Helmets are advisable for Breeze rides. Please check the weather forecast and be prepared - layers are good. Check your bike is roadworthy and bring basic tools and a spare inner tube. Please bring any drinks or snacks for the journey.
