Chorley Old, Modern Day and New

Starting at Moss Bank Park Car Park, we have a brief opportunity to warm up before the first hilly challenge of Smithills Dean Road. We then turn onto Colliers Row to Chorley Old Road and enjoy the descent into Horwich, continuing through Adlington and picking up the A6 into Chorley and Astley Park. We then return via Cowling and Limbrick to Rivington, pick up Chorley New Road before turning up Victoria Road and finishing the ride along Moss Bank Way.

The ride is all road with some riding on busy roads and is suitable for road or hybrid bikes. There are two hills of note on the ride, and we will regroup at the top of each one. A vote about the cafe stop will be taken on the day as we have choices in Chorley and Rivington.

Helmets must be worn on this ride. Please bring a spare inner tube and tyre levers for your bike and a bike pump. Bring a snack and something to drink. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
