A steady ride to Chiswick House and Gardens and the magnificent Chiswick Mosaic House, via the Riverside. It is a mixture of quiet and some short but busy roads, so it’s good for those who want to gain confidence riding in normal traffic.
We first get to Chiswick House through Hammersmith. We will stop here for coffee and a break, where there’s also an opportunity to walk around the gardens. Please bring a bike lock.
We then carry on to the Chiswick Mosaic House via the Riverside and the new Barnes Bridge. Visitors are welcome to take photos of the amazing artwork that the house is, which is also the home of its artist, Carrie Reichardt – see more here:

We return via Acton and the A40, and stop for a Lebanese meal at Beit el Zaytoun along the Grand Union Canal near Harlesden station. We aim to arrive at 2pm. Please note that this is the end of our route and we will not be returning to Roundwood Park from this point.
If you find this ride fully booked, get in the waiting list as spaces always become available nearer the date. However, please do not sign up if you’re not sure you can join.
IMPORTANT POINTS: *Helmets aren't compulsory but advisable. *Check that your tyres are pumped and bring a spare inner tube and all necessary tools in case of a puncture. *If you can't make it anymore, cancel your space so someone else can join. *We have a 3-strike policy: those who don’t cancel but don’t turn on the day of the ride 3 times will be banned from booking on other rides. *Only riders who booked themselves on the ride will be allowed to join. *Unless the weather takes a nasty turn making it unsafe or unpleasant to cycle, this ride will go ahead even if it rains. Dress for the weather and bring a raincoat just in case. *We sometimes video record our rides which are later published on YouTube. By joining our rides, you are authorising your image to appear on the video and photos.
