Cherry Blossom Festival at Bolling Hall (2 cake)

Starting point BD18 4NQ: we will meet at in the Hirst Wood car park, at the bottom of Hirst Lane, near the canal.

This ride is almost all on cycle route 66, starting out on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath the following the Canal Road greenway into Bradford, then heading up to Bowling Park and Bolling Hall. The route gets hilly as we head to Bowling Park.

The beautiful blossom at Bradford’s Bolling Hall is being celebrated at this year’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Join in with Maypole and morris dancing, with Rainbow Morris and Buttercross Belles.. A tour of the museum is included. The event is free, although donations are welcomed. There is a pop-up cafe at the event, or the opportunity to stop at the Bowling Park cafe before we head home.

This ride is restricted to members of Bingley Belles.

Please bring a roadworthy bike and spares in case of punctures. Dress appropriately for the weather (layers are best). It’s advisable to wear a helmet. You’ll also need money or a debit card to pay for refreshments (or you may want to bring your own).

We always go at the pace of the slowest rider so no-one gets left behind.
