Starting from - The start point is the car park by Thornwell football club on Tenby Lane which is off Denbigh Drive. Head to the main roundabout at the M48 Chepstow junction. Take the exit for Thornwell and at the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit (just to the left of the Tesco Express). Tenby Lane is the second right. Please note there are no toilets here.
The start point for the extended ride is the free car park in Woodstock Way, Caldicot. Post code is NP26 4FF. We would leave from here at 9:30am. Head into Caldicot from Magor and go past the Co-op and straight over the crossroads. Take the next left (signed to supermarket). This is Woodstock Way. The car park is on the right just after the Grey Hill medical centre. If coming in from Chepstow direction, take the first right after the roundabout and along until the left just before Asda. Turn left here and follow the road round and past Aldi. The car park is just past here on the left. There are toilets available nearby. NP16 5GH

A nice steady ride over the Severn Bridge and through the lanes to Severn Beach and back via Olveston. There is an option for a longer ride starting from Caldicot. This will add approximately 15 miles to the overall distance and one steep hill on the way out.
This ride has a mixture of roads, lanes and some traffic free segments along cycle paths. Most of the roads and lanes are quiet but there is one short stretch on a busy road so you need to be confident riding this part.
We will stop in Severn Beach at Shirley's cafe for a well earned rest.
Please make sure you have a helmet for the ride and bring along some basic equipment to cope with a puncture in case you are unlucky enough to need them. Also some money for the coffee stop.
We never leave anyone behind
