Chelsea in Bloom via Battersea

This ride takes us from Baker Street to Sloane Square via Battersea, to see the food-themed floral displays on shops in the area, celebrating Chelsea Flower Show. Advance information is here https://londonist.com/london/free-and-cheap/chelsea-in-bloom-2024-dates-theme-map-free-flower-festival but the actual displays will only be known at the beginning of the week, so the route is approximate at this stage. We'll wheel our bikes round the displays and there will be plenty of stops for photo-opps. Refreshments will be at Peter Jones in Sloane Square.

You need to be confident in traffic, as there are some moments in busier areas, but most of the route is on quiet streets. Bring water, a bike lock and card for the cafe. You can take the train to Baker Street with your bike from 9.30 onwards, eg there is an 0930 train from Pinner or slightly later from Harrow on the Hill. Please meet on Baker Street north of Marylebone Road, outside Boots the Chemist. Before 10am the Ladies' toilets are open in the station.
