Our New Year cycling resolutions ride will take us through mainly quiet country lanes to Burston’s Garden Centre in Chiswell Green, although there will be one very short section of a busier road. We will be stopping for cake, sandwiches or a light lunch in the garden centre so please remember to bring your money and a lock for your bike. We will be riding approximately 13 miles at a pace that is best suited to the group, usually between 7-10 mph. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind so that everyone can have an enjoyable ride. Please arrive at our starting point at 9.15am so that we can leave promptly at 9.30am after the ride briefing.
Please remember to bring with you
- Helmet
-Spare inner tubes for your bike and appropriate tools, even if you don't know how to change an inner tube there are other people in the group to help.
-A water bottle with a drink in, cycling can be thirsty work.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather.
It is recommended when riding in winter to dress in layers, with special attention to feet and hands.
