Chasing Burrs to the Hidden Gem

This ride is a mixture of quiet roads, trail some of which may be muddy, cycle paths and 3 sections of main road all of which we will tackle together.
***This is not a beginners ride. ***

We will ride from the Burrs towards Bury and then towards Pilsworth via the Roch Valley Greenway. After a short section of road we will head towards Unsworth and then Heaton Park using quieter roads. After a short stop at the Hidden Gem cafe we will cycle around the park and then head off towards home via the Outwood trail.

The ride will include 3 small sections of main road. The rest will be on quieter roads, trail, and canal paths. **There will be some rougher sections which we will take our time on and also some cobbled paths to contend with** These we will take our time on. There are also some hills with an elevation gain on 240m. There is one hill that I will definitely be pushing my bike up. It’s not too long for anyone who wants to attempt it.

We will stop at the Hidden Gem for refreshments. Stops along the route will be taken if and when any rider needs one.

Please come along equipped with a spare inner tube, tyre levers, lock and preferably some cash for refreshments. The cafe will take cards but prefers cash.
