Emma Cons Gardens, the small piazza on the corner of Waterloo Road and The Cut (opposite The Old Vic)
Why should Southwark be the only London borough to do Healthy Rides? We want to issue a wake-up call to those who think cycling from Southwark to Camden is a bridge too far. We will start by cycling along The Cut which takes us to the new north/south Cycle Superhighway, which we follow until we reach Blackfriars Bridge. We then join the cycle path along the Embankment which takes us to Parliament Square. We then continue on to St James. Park, Green Park and then Hyde Park, where we will stop to take a look at the 2016 summer pavilions and the group of smaller architectural show-buildings which have been erected this year. We then take a route through Paddington Basin and Regent's Park which takes us via Camden Town to Granary Square in Kings Cross. We will stop for a refreshment break at the new Waitress cafe there. We then cycle down past Lincoln's Inn Fields and back to The Cut, where the ride finishes.
