Bricket Wood Tea Room

Starting in Marshalswick, St Albans, the ride will take us along the Alban Way, through Verulamium Park, the Gorhambury estate, & Potters Crouch before reaching Bricket Wood where we'll stop for refreshments at the Tea Room. We'll then return to Marshalswick via London Colney, Highfield Park & through Oaklands College.

Meet at 9.30am in the garden outside the Marshalswick Community Centre at The Quadrant. There is a small public car park between the Community Centre and M&S with free parking and plenty of residential street parking nearby. However, please don't park in the main Quadrant car park or the streets immediately outside the shops as parking there is restricted to 3 hours. There is a public toilet next to the Community Centre.

The ride is mostly on quiet roads or cycle paths & tracks, but we do cross some busy roads. Some of the tracks are a bit rough & have sections of loose gravel & dirt, so this ride is not suitable for road bikes. Also some of the tracks are narrow so this ride is best suited to confident experienced riders.

Helmets are compulsory on this ride. Please bring something to drink, money/card & a bike lock for the cafe stop & equipment to deal with any punctures. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and you have an emergency back up or taxi number to call in case of mechanical issues that we can't fix.
