The route leaves Eccleston and goes out via Mawdsley/Rufford and Tarslcough skirting around Scarisbrick to Churchtown. The return route goes via Banks /Tarleton/Bretherton and Croston back to Eccleston. 33 miles in total.

A road ride to the beautiful village of Churchtown.

All roads and quiet country lanes from Eccleston taking in the lovely countryside to Churchtown near Southport. Some busier roads through Churchtown but we will negotiate hazards safely and stay together.

We will take a refreshment break at a Cafe in Churchtown.

Helmets are required to take part in this ride. Please also be equipped with your own roadside repair items such as spare inner tube and pump. Any snacks and drinks you may wish to have for short rest stops. The cafe break is around 15 miles.

Please note this ride requires a road bike which should be in road worthy condition with tyres correctly inflated and brakes and gears in good working order. We ride as a group and will keep together.
