Sunday Saunter to the Lavender in Vauxhall Park

A chance to sit amongst the lavender without the hills, (although also without the dramatic views)
We will ride up to Vauxhall Park via the Waterlink way, Peckham and Kennington. We will have a look at Bonnington square gardens for those who have not visited it before, and then continue the short distance to Vauxhall Park. After a look around the sensory garden, where hopefully the lavender will be in full bloom and we can pose for some arty photo shots, we will have a coffee stop at the park cafe.
From Vauxhall park, we will make our way on fairly busy roads, albeit mostly with designated and sometimes segregated cycle paths to reach Embassy Gardens and the Sky Pool; perhaps if it is hot, there will be swimmers taking advantage of the facility.
We will then make our way back as far as Vauxhall Bridge via Nine Elms Lane. Due to building works in the area, the cycle path may not be available so you should feel confident about cycling alongside traffic on potentially busy roads. We will return via the C5, C10 and the Waterlink Way.
