Breeze to the King's accession gun salute

Depending on the weather,the leader reserves the right to amend, curtail or cancel the ride, in which case we might end up in a café shouting Boom! 41 times.
We will ride up to Hyde Park via Peckham and Kennington, crossing the river at Vauxhall Bridge. We will ride through Belgravia to reach Hyde park where the gun salute takes place. We will have a coffee/lunch stop in St James's park. We will return via the C10 and Waterlink way.
There will be a deafening 41 gun salute in Hyde Park at midday to mark King Charles' III's accession to the throne The guns are usually situated near the northern edge of the park, but we may just take a couple of photos at close range and then retire to a safe distance to protect our eardrums!
This is a longer than usual ride, on a mixture of traffic free and quiet roads, and stretches of roads with traffic. Some of these roads may be busy and you should be a competent and confident rider in such traffic conditions. We will maintain a steady pace and to keep within the timings in the information details. e.g. the King's gun Salute waits for no Breeze rider.
