This ride is for those who are new to cycling or returning to cycling and would like to ride with others, explore the local area and enjoy a chat over coffee and cake. The ride will be mainly along cycle paths and quiet residential streets.

The route meanders out of Nonsuch Park and towards Epsom Common along cycle paths and through parks. We will cycle along the Hogsmill River, through Horton Country Park and around Epsom common. The cycle tracks that we will be using are also bridleways and in places and the surfaces have loose stones and gravel. Hybrid bikes with off-road tyres are most suited to this ride. Covid-19 Guidance: Please do not attend the if you or someone in your household has symptoms of Covid-19 or you have been asked to self-isolate. The ride will be limited to one ride leader and five participants and you should be prepared to respect current social distancing rules. As places are limited at this time, please cancel your ride if you find that you are unable to attend so that it becomes available to other riders.

We will stop at the half-way point on Epsom Common for a drink and a snack (please bring your own supplies) and then have coffee/tea/ice cream when we return to Nonsuch Mansion.

You will need to bring your own equipment including a pump, inner tube, tyre levers, a small lock, money for the coffee stop, water, and snacks. You may also wish to bring a face mask and alcohol hand gel. Make sure that your bike is in good working order and that the tyres are pumped up.

We never leave anyone behind; the plan is to enjoy being out on our bikes as a group and have cake along the way.
