Breeze to Carshalton Ponds

We will cycle on mostly quiet streets to reach Carshalton ponds. After a circuit of the area we will loop back to Beddington park where we will have a refreshment stop at the delightful Tower Cafe..
The route is mostly paved but there are some gravel paths and stony surfaces in the parks so skinny road tyres might suffer on this terrain.
It is a ride in urban conditions, so It is NOT a ride for beginners, as we may well encounter some busy traffic and tricky junctions on our return. Generally flat, there are some gentle inclines on the way there and at least one stinker of a hill on the return route.
You should be able to maintain a steady pace throughout, so we keep to the timings referred to in the information details, although the timing depends on how long we spend at Beddington park.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order. with the tyres pumped up to the correct pressure.
