Breeze to Battersea Park and Power Station

This is a challenging ride to Battersea Park and Power Station to enjoy the Christmas vibe!
We will ride to Battersea park via Crystal Palace, Brockwell Park and Clapham Common, cycling for the most part along quiet streets but also a few potentially busy roads and tricky junctions. You should be confident riding in urban traffic. Although there is some climbing, they are mostly long, slow climbs with some occasional steep bits. You must be able to use your gears efficiently for this ride and keep together with the group.
We will loop around the park and then go through the new Battersea Power Station development.
We will have a coffee stop either in Battersea park or at the Black Cab Coffee company.
We will continue through Nine Elms, as far as Vauxhall, before returning on the C5/C10 and the Waterlink way. If we so decide, there is the option of returning via Peckham instead.
This is quite a long, demanding ride for experienced and confident cyclists. The coffee stop is quite a long way into the ride, so bring a snack and a drink. You should be able to maintain a steady pace throughout so we keep to the timings referred to in the information details.
Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather and that you have checked that your bike is in good working order. Are those tyres pumped up to the correct pressure? Is your chain nice and clean? Have you checked your brakes?
