We will ride up the Leeds Liverpool canal, through the lovely Rimrose Park and then join the coastal path through Formby and the Pinewoods to Ainsdale. Lots of traffic-free sections and a few quiet roads. Riders can then return the same way or take the train back to Liverpool.

4. Avoid sharing equipment, tools, food, water bottles etc.

5. *** Before booking & coming on this ride please carry out a self-assessment for Covid-19 symptoms:

A lovely ride on traffic free routes and quiet roads along the Mersey coastal path. You can ride to Ainsdale and back to Liverpool, or take the train for the return journey.

Canal towpaths, parks, traffic free paths and some quiet roads.

A coffee stop at Ainsdale MeCycle cafe.

Any roadworthy bicycle is suitable if it is comfortable for a 3-hour ride. Bring suitable clothing for the weather and a drink and snacks. You should also have a spare inner tube to fit your bike tyres.

This is a flat ride but the distance and some of the roads mean that it is suitable for more experienced riders who are comfortable riding in a group on quiet roads.
