Breeze through Winter to the Canary Wharf Winter Lights

A visit to Canary Wharf to view the Winter Lights exhibition.
We will ride along the Waterlink Way to Greenwich and cross to the Isle of Dogs via DLR alighting at Mudchute. We will reach Canary Wharf by riding along the Thames path and Manchester Road. After a tour round viewing the Winter Lights art installations, we will return to Mudchute where the ride will end. To return to Beckenham we take the DLR and train. Timings are approximate as it depends how long we take to view the Art Installations. Although it is flat route and on a mixture of traffic free and quiet roads, you should nonetheless be a competent cyclist, confident about cycling in the dark. Your leaders reserve the right to amend, curtail or even abandon the route if it is very crowded.
There will be stretches where we have to walk with our bikes.
The Winter Lights festival is the largest of its kind in London, transforming Canary Wharf with over 20 stunning installations, leaving the dark winter evenings aglow. The spectacle showcases light art and interactive installations by some of the most innovative light artists across the globe with some new commissions alongside pieces never before seen in the UK.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order. You MUST have lights for this ride.
