This is a challenging ride. A favourite route heading out to Lullingstone and Eynsford

The route will be on country lanes and quiet roads with some challenging hills. Some of the lanes are quite narrow and can be busy, so you must be confident riding on the road.

We will stop to look at the sunflower patch at Castle Farm and go to Lullingstone Visitor Centre for coffee. If you wish to get amongst the sunflowers, there is an entrance fee of £3.40. Pick-your-Own Sunflowers is £1 per stem and you’ll have to figure out in advance how to carry them home on your bike. No charge to view the sunflowers from the footpaths.

Come appropriately dressed for the weather. Bring a spare inner tube and pump for your bike. Bring plenty to drink, a snack and sunscreen as we will be out for some time. A helmet is always recommended.

The ride may be changed or cancelled if an Amber or Red Heat Health Alert is in place on the day. We may take the option of making the return journey by train from Eynsford (Thameslink train with air conditioning)
