A springtime big city adventure for West London Breeze!
After meeting on Haven Green, we will walk across to Ealing Broadway station and take the train to Paddington. (Don’t forget to bring your Oyster card or bank card for travel fares).
From Paddington, we will ride a short distance down to Hyde Park. Then we will enjoy the new Cycle Superhighways, following the route down to Hyde Park Corner, and on past Buckingham Palace, to Parliament Square and Westminster Bridge. We will cross to the South Bank and use quiet back roads to make our way along to Blackfriars Bridge, where we cross back to enjoy the wonderful Superhighway along the Embankment with views of the London Eye and all the sights of the South Bank. We retrace our steps through Parliament Square and the Parks, up to Marble Arch.
A final treat is the short journey through Marylebone to Regent’s Park to explore Queen Mary’s Garden on foot, before riding through the Park and dropping down to the Regent’s Canal to take us back to Paddington and the return train to Ealing.
Bring a drink and snacks, we will stop for refreshments in Regent’s Park if the weather is fine, or back on the Paddington Basin if we need to be indoors.
A short ride seeing some of the sights of entral London.
We will enjoy the segregated cycle tracks through the Royal Parks and along the Embankment.
