Breeze - Globe Trail One

Inspired by Jacqueline Turner and Emma Budgen, who are always exploring.
We will ride to Peckham via Dulwich and Brockwell Park. The World Reimagined art trail starts in Peckham. We will follow 11 globes along a path of learning and discovery that will take us up to Bankside, Waterloo, Lambeth and Stockwell to Brixton where the trail ends. We will return via Windrush Square where the ride will end. There will be a refreshment stop at the cafe in Old Paradise Yard, but you should come armed with your own snacks and drinks too.
The World Reimagined looks at Africa before and during the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans. It moves on to abolition, agency and emancipation. It touches on the Windrush Generation and how slavery still lives with us now. It also celebrates the many great Black leaders in fields from business to activism, and sport to the arts.
This is a ride for confident cyclists who are experienced in urban traffic, but it should be interesting and fun. It is NOT a ride for beginners. You should be able to maintain a steady pace throughout so we keep to the timings referred to in the information details, although the timing depends on how long we spend at each exhibit.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order. There will be traffic as the globes are in very public areas, but we take the quiet routes where we can

We will stop at the Wonderful Paradise Yards Gardens coffee shop, where we can see the bikes as we sip.

Bike in good working order, any tools you need to repair your bike, some money if you want to buy a drink or bring your own drink and snack.
