These rides are for Women new to cycling or just returning to cycling who would like to build their confidence on a traffic free route with a group of other like minded women
We will start from Standalone Farm and head straight onto the Green Way so there’s no need to worry about cars. There is an undulation or two but you can ride these at your own pace or get off and walk. We will regroup at the top of any hills. We always ride at the pace of the slowest rider - no one gets left behind and we will stop regularly to catch our breath.
If you don’t have a bike you can hire one from the farm please speak to the staff there about this.
We look forward to seeing you on the ride.
What to wear - whatever you feel comfortable with and appropriate for the weather but please no long scarves or loose dangling clothing that could get caught in moving bike parts.
What to bring - helmet, drinks and maybe a snack to have on the ride, money for refreshments in the cafe after the ride (this is optional-you don’t have to stay but we’d love it if you did) a spare inner tube that fits your bike tyre.
