BREEZE FIRST HALF OF THE DURHAM BEAST

This is the first third of the Durham Beast Ride and also most of the Durham Big Ride. There will be 2 further rides in this series covering the remaining parts of the Beast route. Starting at Sniperley Park and Ride we will follow the route of the Durham Beast Ride along the cycle path of the A691 to Witton Gilbert where we will head up Charlaw Bank and cycle past Broomhouse Farm toward Maiden Law. We will then drop down towards Iveston and attempt to pedal up the infamous Iveston Bank without getting off (no problem if you have to walk though, these are quiet roads and we can all wait for each other at the top!) Once regrouped we will head across for welcome drink and cake at Knitsley Farm café. Setting off from Kinitsley we will follow the Lanchester Valley Cycle route leaving the route at Langley Park to finish back at the park and ride. Please do bring suitable waterproof clothing as the weather may not be great, as well as warm gloves and socks and layers to ensure that you can cope with cold or warm weather.
