From County Hall we will ride out of Durham on the Sacriston Road before turning up to Broomhouse Farm via Acornclose Lane.
We'll then cycle along to Burnhope, Maiden Law, Greencroft and then to the main event at Iveston Bank. This conquered we will pedal over to Knitsley for a well earned break for lunch, before heading back down to Durham along the Lanchester Valley Railway line.

A Challenging 25 mile ride using the route of the Durham Big Ride from Durham to Burnhope, Greencroft and the iconic Iveston Bank

The first half of this route is all on road, before joining the Lanchester Valley Railway Lines from Knitsley Cafe back to Durham

We will stop for refreshments at Knitsley Farm Shop

Helmets are always recommended, as is clothing suitable for the weather, warm layers, gloves and socks and a waterproof jacket. A bottle of water and some snacks will also be welcome on this ride. If you have them, please also bring along an inner tube that fits your wheel, tyre levers and a pump. Don't forget some money for the cafe as well :)

We never leave anyone behind
