Breeze along the Viking Trail

We'll meet at Bromley South Station at 9:45am to take the 9:57am train to Ramsgate. At Ramsgate, we'll switch trains to reach Thanet Parkway Station, just a few minutes away from the Viking Ship, the 1st waypoint on our ride along the Viking Coastal Trail. From there we'll head towards Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate, Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington-on-Sea. We plan to ride on to Reculver before returning to Birchington to catch a train back to Bromley.

Much of the ride will be along traffic-free trails. However, it will not be flat, so be prepared to make good use of your bike's gears.
The ride duration in the listing does not include the train ride from Bromley and back. If you're going to cycle home from Bromley South Station, don't forget to bring working bike lights.
Please bring plenty of water, snacks (and a packed lunch if you wish). We'll stop for lunch and coffee (maybe ice-cream as well).
Please make sure that your bike is in good working order and dress appropriately for the weather.
The ride maybe cancelled if the weather on the day is unsuitable for a coastal excursion. We recommend buying an open return ticket from Bromley South to Birchington-on-Sea plus a single ticket from Birchington-on-Sea to Thanet Parkway (only after you have received confirmation that the ride is definitely going to take place).
