Beginners' guided ride!

This is our weekly beginners' guided ride, which is around an hour long at a gentle pace and is aimed at becoming familiar with the local cycle routes in the town and meeting other people who want to get active in the community.

Our routes are mainly on traffic-free cycle paths, with some sections on the road. You will need to feel comfortable with cycling on the road where there may be cars, but we will support you and cycle in a group so no one has to cycle alone.

We will have a break to have a drink of water and a chat to make sure everyone is happy and feeling good about the cycle. We sometimes go to a café afterwards to warm up and catch up after being outdoors, but this is optional.

We can offer up to 8 bicycles and helmets to borrow for the ride, so you only need to bring yourself, some comfortable clothes and a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Please let us know beforehand if you'd like to borrow a bicycle. You can bring your own bicycle if you'd prefer though.
