New Year, new you? Cycling is a fun, free and friendly way to get some exercise. Local qualified volunteers have easy beginner rides for women, based in Pinner Village Gardens - the park between Rayners Lane, Whittington Way and Cannon Lane - by kind permission of Harrow Council. Come along on a Saturday morning for an hour-long session, followed by optional refreshments at the Pinner Arms. Just make sure your trousers aren’t baggy and won’t get caught in the chain; and dress for the weather.
You do need: a working bike. Beg, borrow or buy a bike, pump up the tyres, check the brakes and make sure the wheels turn.
You don't need: fancy lycra clothes, a helmet, an expensive bike, or to be super-fit. Breeze riders come in all shapes, sizes and ages but we are all FRIENDLY! Come and give it a go. If you complete four rides over January and February you'll get a Breeze goody bag.
