Starting from - We encourage rides to ride to start point but if this is not possible and you need to bring a car there is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.

From Inverness follow the A9 north to the Tore roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A835 (for Ullapool and Dingwall). Stay on this road for 10 miles (16 km) turning right onto a minor road for Kinnahaird and then right onto the A834 for Strathpeffer. Just as you enter the village there's a large white building on the right and a tourist information sign on the left. Turn right after the building and follow signs to the car park. IV14 9BT

Starting these rides from Blackmuir Wood car park on outskirts of Strathpeffer these rides will explore a variety of rides on forest roads and tracks. There are many options including tracks past local lochs and through to Contin village with a climb back up through woodland areas or the gentle climb to the remarkable stone labyrinth to find some far-ranging views across the mountains of the north. The rides will be on firm gravel surfaces throughout, with uneven and loose parts in places. Long moderate slopes and some slightly steeper sections to develop our mountain bike miles and experience.

Take to your mountain bike and join in with some gentle rides on two wheels along the nearby well-surfaced trails. We'll ride each week for eight weeks for up to 2 hours on the bike ready to ride by 10am-12noon

These rides will be off roads traffic free routes you will need off road tyres either a mountain bike or gravel bike

The rides are chatty rides and can end with an optional social get together post ride at a nearby Strathpeffer square. The led ride will finish at the starting point to enable everyone to choose their preferences.

Helmets, water and waterproof jacket.

We never leave anyone behind
