A route starting form Harestanes Visitor Centre ( meet near Out There Artisan cafe, public toilet and post box). There is plenty of parking in two car parks to avoid busy village centre in Ancrum itself. Route will take in hill behind Woodside up to the monument road near Peniel Heugh, Muirhouselaw, Maxton, Longnewton, Sandystones before returning to Ancrum on B6400.

We will be riding on mainly quiet country roads and some unclassified roads . We need to cross the A68 once and there is a short section on the A699 in Maxton.

We will pause at the top of hills to regroup, catch our breaths and have a drink. Plus enjoy the scenery! Our coffee stop will be at the end of the ride in Ancrum. The Lavender Touch charity are providing refreshments in Ancrum Village Hall. There will be a chance after our coffee stop to visit the Art at Ancrum exhibits throughout the village ( approx 40 exhibitors). Visit the website for more info. https://www.artatancrum.org.uk/

Please wear a helmet and bring tools and an inner tube for your own bike.A water bottle, a snack and cash for our coffee stop and of course if you want to buy things later bring cash and a card.

We never leave anyone behind
