An Opportunity to ride a few laps on the 3 Sisters Racetrack

The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Leigh Branch to Bamfurlong Bridge where we head for Viridor Woods. After cycling through the woods we arrive at the 3 Sisters Racetrack and will have the chance to cycle a few laps of the racetrack.

The return journey takes us down the Devil's Backbone and back to Robin Park.

For once this is a barrier free ride and there is the option to bypass the steps at Bamfurlong Bridge if anyone prefers to go on a short stretch of road.

Please ensure that your lights are in working order.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

A ride to the Cycle 3 Sisters event

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at the 3 Sisters Racetrack.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride and working lights are needed.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
