An Opportunity to ride a few laps of the 3 Sisters Racetrack

The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Leigh Branch to Bamfurlong Bridge where we head for Viridor Woods. After cycling through the woods we arrive at the 3 Sisters Racetrack and a chance to cycle a few laps of the racetrack on your own bike.

The return journey takes us down the Devil's Backbone and back to Robin Park.

This is a barrier free ride and there is an option to bypass the steps at Bamfurlong Bridge.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be posted on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads and tracks and trails. There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments so please bring drinks and snacks or money to buy them. New riders are more than welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind. Helmets must be worn on this ride. Working lights may be needed on the return trip.
