DH1 5UQ

From the Cartologist car park we will cycle to Wharton Park before heading over to St Margaret’s Churchyard, Stockton Road and Bowes Cemetery finishing with the Commonwealth graves at Redhills.
We aim to explore the wildlife management of these historic parts of Durham and finish back at the Cartologist where some may choose to partake in refreshment :)

An evening tootle on cycle path to Nature reserves around County Hall, Durham.

Mainly cycle path

We will be stopping at Aykley Heads and Carr Nature reserve to enjoy the high and low ruderal as well as the cycle paths created through these reserves with expert guiding from ecology superstar, Julia

It’s evening so it may be cold, warm base layers are recommended and we will be walking so footwear suitable would also be useful. We always recommend helmets, and it would be great if you could bring along a spare inner tube and tyre levers just in case.

First-timers welcome!
