Starting point

Kent
ME7 1TT

The route starts from the Strand and head along the river and through the boat yard. The route then follows a cycle lane to the nearby roundabout. From here we negotiate the pedestrian crossing and follow the cycle path to the top of Ito way. The ride up can be challenging but we ask you to remember that it is all downhill on the way back.

Route rating

As part of A Better Medway's cycling program, we are temporarily moving the Riverside bike ride to the Strand. Due to the recent increase in footfall, we have decided that this will be a safer option in the short term.

The route will be all cycle lanes with some shared pathways near teh start and finish at the Strand.

The route is up hill for the first half with a break at the turn around point.

Helmets are highly recommended.
