From the bench above Meadowfield Leisure Centre we will cycle along the Bishop-Brandon railway line to Bishop Auckland for lunch at the Town Hall where there is a new art exhibition featuring art from Stuart Trotter, the current Rupert the Bear illustrator. We will return via the Auckland Way to Spennymoor and back via Tudhoe and Holywell.

A lovely circular route from Meadowfield to Bishop Auckland and back via Spennymoor

Mainly off road with some quiet back roads

We will stop in Bishop Auckland for Lunch at the Castle before heading on to Spennymoor

Helmets are always advisable, as are buffs, gloves and waterproofs, just in case. Please try to bring along a spare inner tube, suitable for your wheel size, tyre levers and a pump if you have one.
