KT8 9AE

Meet at Surbiton Station on the Platform for the 9:42 train (Platform 3 or 4). I suggest arriving around 9:20 to allow time to get the two lifts to the platform. The lifts only take a couple of bikes and can be busy with other people needing to use them. We will take the train to Aldershot to avoid the stairs at Ash Vale. A short cycle to the Basingstoke Canal and we will stay on this until the Wey Navigation and Thames River. Finishing in Thames Ditton with the option of getting the train. Tickets are the same price on the day as in advance, so I usually buy the ticket at the station in case of any train disruption (I speak from commuting experience!!).

Approximately 34 miles. Flat route, not speedy as its on tow paths. Open to all ages 16+. Suitable for hybrids, gravel, mountain bikes, not suitable for skinny tyres as there will be paths.

Please bring the following :
• A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. Please check your brakes work and the chain runs freely. Bring a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers. A helmet is recommended.
• A drink and a snack and food
• A cycle lock for use at coffee stop
If you are unable to come on the ride, please cancel your place or message me so the group is not waiting for you.
