Leaving Abbotswood, we head straight to Braishfield and over the downs to Kings Somborne. Having cycled through the village we will go up to Ashley and on up to Farley Mount. This is an undulating route with lovely views where we can stop to catch our breath before continuing on our way to Beechcroft Coffee Shop. We will enjoy a well earned rest with a coffee and some cake. The return route is mainly descending back down to Braishfield and up the final hill to Abbotswood.

Route rating

This is a hilly ride with beautiful scenery to enjoy as we take breathers along the way,

Most of this ride is along quiet country lanes.

You will need a roadworthy bike and a cycle helmet. Please make sure your tyres are inflated correctly and that you have a spare inner tube to fit your bike, tyre levers and a pump in case of a puncture. You should bring some water and an extra layer to put on in case we have to stop for any reason and for sitting outside at the coffee stop. You will need cash/payment card for the cafe.
