Leaving Abbotswood we go through Braishfield and up Furzedown Road to Kings Somborne. We'll pedal through the village and then ascend to Ashley and on up to Farley Mount. From there, we go up and down until we reach Beechcroft Farm Shop where we can relax with a coffee and cake and enjoy the views.
Our return ride is descending back down to Hursley and then a quick up Maiden Castle to Slackstead and on to Braishfield and finally to Abbotswood.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

This is a challenging ride with several hills but the views are well worth the effort.

Most of the route is quiet country lanes with a few stretches on busier roads.

We will stop for breathers and to admire the views as we go.

You will need a roadworthy bike with properly inflated tyres and a helmet. Please bring tyre levers, an inner tube that fits your bike and a pump in case of a puncture which we can help you repair. You should also have an extra layer to put on if we do have to stop for any reason. Bring a snack if you think you might need one and a bottle of water. You will need cash/payment card and a lock for your bike for our coffee stop.
