This 12-mile scenic route following the White Cart Water from Glasgow Pollok Park to Paisley Abbey is a great introduction to cycling on traffic-free and minor suburban roads. Renowned for its beautiful architecture, the bustling town of Paisley became well-known during the 18th and 19th centuries for the production of cloth with the distinctive Paisley pattern. See the many waterscapes and old textile mills which provide an insight into Glasgow's industrial past. A fashionable route for everyone.

The route is mostly on mildly undulating cycle paths and suburban roads, ideal for a relaxing ride. There are two short sections on open road in Paisley. Suitable for any kind of bike.

We will have a break at the majestic Paisley Abbey (halfway); there are shops and cafes in the area for snacks or any need. Please bring plenty of water for the ride.

Bring a bike in working order. A helmet is highly recommended.
