A short scenic ride from Penarth Marina, via Penarth Headlands and Penarth Pier, down through Cosmeston to St Mary's Well Bay for views of the sea and back via the Railway Path.

Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of us all:

* If you, or anyone in your household, or contacts have had any symptoms of Covid-19, ie new persistant cough, or fever or loss of taste or smell, in the last 10 days, or if you feel unwell in any other way, then please do not sign up. I will also need you to confirm to me at the ride start that you and your household are symptom free.

* Maintain a minimum distance from each other of 1 metre while on the bikes,

* Maintain a minimum 2 metres distancing at all other times, - ie at the start, end and during refreshment stops
* If sitting at an outdoor/indoor cafe, then a maximum number of 6 people can now sit at a table together, but please also maintain social distancing of 2 metres as per Welsh government guidance.
* Please avoid touching others' cycles, or sharing anything, eg food, spares, money (ideally bring a card).
* Bring your own hand gel/wipes, drink and snack and face covering. Also money/card if you wish to buy refreshments, and a plastic bag to sit on if you wish to sit outside on the grass. ! NB come prepared to fix issues on your bike yourself if at all possible, ie pump, spare tube, tyre levers. Guidance will be available at a distance. Cycle helmets are advised.

If you have any questions, please either 'message ride creator' through Lets Ride, or post it on the ride conversation tab.

A short evening ride to celebrate the longest day of the year.

The route is a mixture of quiet roads and traffic free paths, with a section on slightly busier roads through Penarth, but being later in the evening the traffic should be minimal. There are a couple of hills at the start, but if you need to walk up that is no problem at all.

We will stop to admire the view (and hopefully sunset) a few times. Depending on how the group is feeling we can stop for refreshments at either the Captain’s wife or back in Penarth at the end.

A safe and working bike (or rent a Next Bike - there are even Electric Next Bikes in Penarth), lights (as it will be dusky by the end) and clothing appropriate for the weather, remember to bring an extra layer as it can be chilly by the sea! If you have a spare inner tube/puncture repair kit do bring them, as well as money and a mask if you’d like to stop for refreshments.

We never leave anyone behind
